•  Logging onto WebCT 

  • Your WebCT login is completely independent of your login to the CSU network.  You may login to WebCT anywhere you have an internet connection.

  • User Id:  lastname_firstname (No caps)

  • Initial Password: ssnxxxx (ssn must be lower case, xxxx is the last four digits of your social security number.)

•    Lesson Quizzes

  • The lesson quizzes substitute for homework.  You may take the lesson quizzes up to 5 times.  Your highest score is the one which counts.  Not all, but many of your test problems will be similar to problems encountered on the lesson quizzes.  Once you have been tested on a set of lessons, the corresponding lesson quizzes will become unavailable.

  • To take a lesson quiz

    • Login to WebCT

    • Select my Intro to Statistics Course

    • Select Lesson Quizzes and Exams on the Intro Statistics homepage.

    • Select the appropriate Lesson Quiz.

  • To take a test

    • Same steps as taking a lesson quiz except you must enter a password for each test.  This password will be given to you right before the test.

    • You may take the Trial Test for a dry run.  The password for the Trial Test is trial (no caps, no spaces in the password).

    • For each test: 

      • You are allowed a 3x5 card (both sides). You may use any calculator during the test. You may use the tables (normal or t-table) from your book, else ask and the tables will be provided. You will also need clean sheets of paper for scratch work. You may turn in this scratch work for possible partial credit provided the problems are numbered and the work is legible.

• The Forum (Bulletins)

  • This for Public Communication.  Everybody sees all the postings here. Look here for announcements.

  • Reach the Forum by

    • Login to WebCT

    • Select Communication from the WebCT homepage.

    • Select Bulletins

• Mail  

  • This is private mail.  No one sees this mail except you and the recipient.
