Alternative. A few good students have used my web site plus the textbook used in the lecture class instead of purchasing the above texts. The text used in lecture class may be purchased from the CSU bookstore: David Moore, Basic Practice of Statistics, 2nd Edition, W.H. Freeman. Some students have really liked the ActivStats CD-ROM. I think that the ActivStats CD-ROM is great, but some students said it was useless. The advantage of using the same text as the lecture class is that if you really do not like the internet class you can switch to a lecture class without purchasing another text.

Survey of modern statistical methods applicable to behavioral, biological, health and managerial sciences, and education.

A withdrawal form must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar. Prior to the W grade deadline as published in the Schedule of Courses, a grade of W will be assigned by the registrar unless a grade of WF has already been assigned by the instructor for excessive absences. A grade of WF will be assigned when a withdrawal form is received in the Office of the Registrar after the deadline. A student may appeal the assignment of a WF grade by submitting to the registrar documentation of non-academic hardship. Students may not withdraw from a required developmental studies course with a grade of W while remaining in degree level courses. To remain in degree level courses, the grade in the developmental studies course must be a WF and would be considered a developmental studies attempt.
